Privacy policy
This site collects as little as it can get away with. There is no account to create, no newsletter to join and no form to fill in. The two things that touch your browser are basic analytics and the GetYourGuide widgets that show live availability.
Analytics
I look at aggregate, anonymised figures: which pages get read, roughly which country visitors arrive from, and which search brought them. It tells me that the accessibility page matters more than I expected and not much else. I do not build profiles, I do not sell data, and there is nothing here that identifies you personally.
The GetYourGuide widgets
The availability boxes and tour cards on this site are supplied by GetYourGuide and load from GetYourGuide’s servers, which means GetYourGuide can see that your browser requested them. Following a booking link sets a GetYourGuide cookie carrying my partner id, 7GG5I5H, which is how a booking made on their site is attributed back to this one. That cookie is theirs, not mine, and it is the only reason this site earns anything — see the affiliate disclosure.
When you actually book, you do it on GetYourGuide, not here. Your name, email, payment details and booking are handled entirely by them under their own privacy policy, which you will be shown at the point of booking. I never see any of it. I could not tell you who has booked a vaults tour through this site if you paid me to.
If you write to [email protected] I keep the email so I can reply to it and, if you have sent me a correction, so I can check later that I made it. I do not add you to anything and I do not pass your address on. Ask me to delete a message and I will.
Your choices
Block cookies in your browser settings and the site still works — the availability widgets may not load, but every word of every page is readable without them. Questions about any of this, or about what is held on you, go to the contact page.
