Affiliate disclosure
This site earns money through the GetYourGuide affiliate programme. Every booking link, tour card and availability widget here carries my partner id, 7GG5I5H. If you book after clicking one, GetYourGuide pays me a commission and you pay exactly what you would have paid going to GetYourGuide directly.
What that means in practice
Every off-site link on this website goes to one place: GetYourGuide, with the partner id above attached. There are no other affiliate programmes, no sponsored posts, no paid placements and no links to operators’ own websites. If a link leaves this domain, it is a GetYourGuide link and it is tagged as mine.
The tracking is a cookie GetYourGuide sets when you follow one of those links, which is how a booking gets attributed back to this site. If you block cookies, or you go away and come back a fortnight later through a search engine, I earn nothing on that booking and the page you read stays exactly the same.
What it does not change
Which tours I recommend, and what I say about them. All six tours on this site are GetYourGuide listings and they all carry the same partner id, so I have no financial reason to push one over another — which is a duller arrangement than it sounds, and the reason I can afford to tell you that the Extreme Paranormal tour is the lowest-rated of the six, or that the Witches and History walk is the best-rated and does not go underground at all.
It is also why there are no prices anywhere on this site. Prices change, affiliate pages that quote them go stale, and quoting them tends to turn a comparison into a sales pitch. What I compare instead is duration, which chambers you are let into, what is included, the age minimum and the stairs.
What I am not
I am not a tour operator, I am not affiliated with any of the companies that run these tours, and I am not a booking agent. I hold no tickets, take no payments and have no access to your booking. The full picture of who is behind this is on the about page, and if anything here is unclear, ask me.
